First Race Win Of Record On New 2007 Kawasaki Jet Ski® Ultra® 250X
IRVINE, Calif. (March 5, 2007) Tracy Malan and John Belton, of Victorville Motorcycle Center, raced to the win at the third annual Mark Hahn Memorial Havasu 300 in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. The victory marked the inaugural win for the all-new 2007 Kawasaki Jet Ski® Ultra® 250X.
"Kawasaki's 2007 Jet Ski® Ultra® 250X established itself as the finest endurance ski," said Malan about his equipment. The new watercraft was well represented with one-fourth of the racing field mounted on the Kawasaki Jet Ski® Ultra® 250X.
Each team must complete 30 10-mile loops, including a pit stop every hour to fuel-up and switch riders. The race was very much a family affair for Malan, having his fiance as his crew chief and three sons, Nicholas, John and Alan helping as mechanics.
"Racing four elements," said Malan. "There is a little bit of luck, a little bit of skill, a great ski and tremendous organization. John and I provided the luck and the marginal skill, Kawasaki provided a great ski, and Luz and the entire pit crew provided the organization."
