Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green Captures Six Titles at World Mini GP

Monster Energy Kawasaki

IRVINE, Calif.

Xtreme Team Green rider Michael Hall was a high roller in Las Vegas taking home two championship titles, while teammate Austin Stroupe scored one as well. Kawasaki Team Green dealer-assist rider Rob Wexler, of Chaparral Motorsports in San Bernardino, Calif., claimed two titles and Kawasaki rider Kohl Hopper rounded out the championship effort winning one title aboard his own Kawasaki KX450F.

Hall, of Murrieta, Calif., rode solid all week, winning every qualifier and eventually the main events in the 250 Modified Intermediate and 250 4-Stroke classes.

I was able to get good starts, which helped me get out front early, said Hall. From there I was able to get myself a cushion and just do what I needed to do to win the race. I’m not out there trying to turn the fastest laps, riding over my head or doing something I don’t need to be doing. I just keep it in check once I get a gap and know where the people are behind me.

He added, My training from the last rounds hasn’t changed. What I am doing seems to be working so I don’t want to mess with it too much. I will start training a little more for the longer motos at Loretta’s (AMA Amateur National).”

Stroupe, of Lincolnton, N.C., looked to be the one to beat in the pro class. He began his week by winning the 450 Stock Pro Championship, but a trip down the first straight in the 450 Modified Pro race sent him to the ground and back to the truck for the remainder of the weekend.

Stroupe was checked-out in Las Vegas and released with no injuries, said Xtreme Team Green Manager Bobby Hewitt. He will take this week off and rest at home. Next week he will start training again and then head out for his Loretta Lynn's qualifier on May 12.”

Wexler, of Perris, Calif., stayed strong during his races, taking the Plus 30 B and Plus 40 Open championships. Another championship went to Kawasaki rider Kohl Hopper, of Peoria, Ariz., in the 450 Modified Novice class.

The next amateur national motocross race is the NMA Grand National Championship, which takes place in Ponca City beginning July 22.
