Marc Coma finds his rhythm
"It was sandy, bumpy and very fast at the same time this morning. On a first day it's always important to find your rhythm and to get the feeling. I'm quite happy with the bike, we're in the right direction. We expected to battle with the 450's,but they were no threat today."
Cyril Despres happy with his result
"A lot of sun and sand today. In the corners it was a little bit like Le Touquet, really nice to drive. You could call it a big prologue today, as it was short, but I'm happy with the result. We made a good first impression, which is good for us. "
Tomorrow two stages both 76 kilometers each in the surroundings of Baie Mare, Romania.
It was only two weeks ago that parts of this area were covered in snow, which forced the organization to cancel several stages. The weather forecast for tomorrow is not very promising, which can make a big difference in the conditions for the riders.
