Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. announces Rick Huseman, short course off-road racing specialist, has been re-signed as a member of Team Toyo™ Off-Road for the 2008 racing season. Huseman pilots the Fabtech/Toyo Tires™ 2006 Toyota Tundra truck which competes in the CORR (Championship Off-Road Racing™) Pro 4™ class on Toyo® Open Country M/T®-R tires.
Always a crowd favorite, Huseman broke the track record at the legendary Crandon International Off-Road Raceway in 2006 on Toyo Open Country M/T tires. He handed Toyo their first-ever CORR Pro 4™ victory in September 2007 at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds in Lancaster, California; then won the Jason Baldwin Memorial Cup Pro 4 Qualifier at Texas Motor Speedway in October of the same year.
“I started racing on the D.O.T. version of the Open Country M/T four years ago, then on the first race version of that tire, and on both I had success,” said Huseman. “Toyo is always looking at what it takes to win and what can be improved in order to get that win.”
“Rick brings a lot of excitement in his driving style and he always gives 100-percent on the track,” said Stan Chen, manager of events and motorsports for Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. “The Toyo off-road program is a strong, successful program that brings home wins because of talented drivers like Rick Huseman.”
