“ Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Damon Huffman put his Kawasaki KX450F on the podium during round eight of the WORCS series at Bull Hollow Raceway in Monticello, Utah. Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green rider Taylor Robert regained the lead in the Pro 2 class after winning his fourth race of the year, while teammate Ryan Abbatoye joined him on the podium in third.

Podium #2
With the rest of his teammates in Greece at the ISDE, Huffman knew he needed to anchor the team in Utah. Not willing to settle for anything less than second, he got off to a decent start and pushed his way to the front. Roughly 30 minutes into the race, Huffman had made his way into the runner-up spot and rode on to his second podium of the year.
“With the other guys being gone, I think second was the worse I wanted to finish,” said Huffman. “I knew that (Bobby) Bonds was going to be fast and we ended up being first and second. I think I could have had a bigger gap or maybe charged toward the front, but I hit a lot of traffic right around halfway. Overall it was a pretty fun course and the conditions ended up being perfect.”
Perfect Weather
Normally Bull Hollow Raceway is known for being dusty, but on Saturday night the course was graced with a decent amount of rainfall. The sun came out on Sunday morning that gave just enough heat to dry out any mud that could have caused problems.
“The weather was great,” said Huffman. “The first two practice days were a little rough because of the dust, but the weather on race day made for a fun track.”
Go Fast!
Most endurance races find riders slowing down when it looks like the white flag is about to come out, but not Huffman. He pushed his hardest on lap 10, earning the fastest lap time of the day on the second to last lap.
Pro 2 Points Leader
With a great ride in Utah, Team Green rider Robert regained the lead in the Pro 2 class. He not only regained his chance at a championship, Robert earned his fourth win of the season.
Third-Place Wonder
Robert’s teammate Abbatoye earned his third podium of the year in Utah and continued to hold his third-place position in the Pro 2 point’s standings. His consistency has helped him remain close in the championship and has proven his is a constant threat for a podium finish.
