BOB BONDURANT SCHOOL OF HIGH PERFORMANCE DRIVING OFFERS NATIONAL SCCA LICENSE
BOB BONDURANT SCHOOL OF HIGH PERFORMANCE
CHANDLER, Ariz.
The Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving now offers drivers the ability to secure a Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) National License at the school's racing facility in Phoenix, Ariz.
Drivers who compete in a minimum of two Bondurant Championship Race Series race weekends (four total races) will earn enough seat time to qualify for the SCCA National License. Under the direction of legendary racer Bob Bondurant and his team of instructors, participants will learn to improve their road racing skills from the same instructors used by hundreds of professional drivers from NASCAR, IndyCar, ASA and more.
"As a leader in advanced driver training for more than four decades, we are excited that our school and the newly launched Championship Race Series continues to serve as a stepping stone for aspiring racers to expand their driving skills and begin their amateur race careers," said Ken Thom, president and general manager, Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving. "Many of today's greatest drivers have chosen the Bondurant School for our top-notch facility, extensive seat time and one-on-one training by race champions like Bob Bondurant, Terry Borcheller, Darren Law and Michael McDowell."
The Championship Race Series, launched in September 2009, consists of 18 races over nine weekends utilizing three different tracks at Firebird International Raceway. Drivers compete in one of Bondurant's Formula Mazda race cars, which are powered by 13B Mazda rotary engines.
Cost to participate in the Championship Race Series is $3,495 per event, which includes car rental, instruction and maintenance of the vehicle. Participants bring their own safety equipment including suits, gloves, head and neck restraints.
