Ryan Briscoe to Line Up Third, Helio Castroneves Fourth for Team Penske in 2008 Indy 500

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.

They didn’t get the pole position, but Team Penske drivers Ryan Briscoe and Helio Castroneves did put themselves in prime position to win the 2008 Indianapolis 500 on Sunday, May 25. Briscoe will start third and Castroneves fourth in the 92nd running of the famous race, which Roger Penske's team has won a record 14 times.

San Francisco Native Townsend Bell Demonstrates Cow-Milking Skills in Sonoma

Rocketsports finishes an open-wheel era on top by recording fastest race lap in an otherwise disappointing race in Long Beach

LONG BEACH, California (April 20, 2008)

Rocketsports Racing may have had a rough weekend on track in Long Beach, but the ultimate goal was to take one last chance to run the magnificent DP01 race cars and have an opportunity to thank all of the supporters and fans of the Champ Car World Series. That goal was accomplished and Rocketsports was able to demonstrate the top speed of a Champ Car during the race around the 1.968-mile temporary street course in downtown Long Beach, California with Antonio Pizzonia by logging the fastest race lap in this afternoon’s main event.

Pizzonia and Annala ready to take on the Long Beach challenge as Rocketsports gears up to run its DP01 Champ Cars for the final time

EAST LANSING, Michigan (April 15, 2008)

The Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach is always one that teams anticipate, for it is a great venue, great city, and always a wonderful event. However, what is usually the Champ Car season opener will be a bit different this year. With the announcement of the unification between Champ Car and the Indy Racing League in late-February, this will be the final Champ Car race and an event to remember for all. Rocketsports is ready to say “good-bye” to Champ Car as best as they can with a two-car effort showcasing the talents of drivers Antonio Pizzonia and Juho Annala.

AMERICAN LE MANS SERIES ISSUES STATEMENT REGARDING OPEN WHEEL UNIFICATION

"IMSA and the American Le Mans Series have been monitoring the talks between the owners of the Champ Car World Series and the Indy Racing League very closely. We have enjoyed good relations with both. However, instability in the business of auto racing is bad for everyone concerned. We hope that the events of recent days lead to a more stable situation; one where teams, promoters, sponsors and fans can invest their time and money back into the sport. Ultimately this would be the best resolution for all of us, including the American Le Mans Series.
