TRG TO RETURN TO HISTORIC 12 HOURS OF SEBRING

Following a five-year hiatus from the endurance classic, TRG is proud to announce their entry in to the 58th Annual Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring, taking place this Saturday on March 20th. Featuring drivers Henri Richard, Duncan Ende, and Andy Lally, the team will premier in the new GTC category, running a 2009 GRAND-AM spec Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car.

Drayson Racing has been preparing for the 58th Running of the 12 Hours of Sebring presented by Fresh from Florida since August, 2009. It was then that the United Kingdom-based team turned its full attention on the Le Mans Prototype One (LMP1) category with intent to show its full hand in the new year. On 20 March, eight months of dedication will come to a head as drivers Paul Drayson (London/Gloucestershire, UK), Jonny Cocker (Guisborough, Yorks, UK) and Emanuele Pirro (Rome) charge the No. 8 Drayson Racing Lola Coupé with Judd Power into turn one of the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) season-opener at the 3.7-mile/5.9Km Sebring International Raceway.

With the Sebring 12 hour race on 20th March, the American Le Mans Series takes off into the new season. America’s oldest sports car race is one of the greatest challenges for drivers and teams. Eighteen overall victories and 63 class wins make Porsche the most successful manufacturer in the history of the race. The first victory on the airfield circuit in Florida 50 years ago went to Hans Herrmann and Olivier Gendebien with the Porsche RS 60.

Preparations for the racing comeback of Walter Röhrl (63) at the Nürburgring 24 hour race are at full revs. During a seat fitting at the Weissach Motorsport Centre, the double WRC champion met the teammates with which he will share the cockpit of the standard Porsche 911 GT3 RS on 15th and 16th May. Former DTM pilot Roland Asch (59) as well as journalists Horst von Saurma-Jeltsch (55) and Chris Harris (35) know the Nürburgring-Nordschleife like the backs of their hands and have contested Germany’s greatest long distance race several times.

TRG MAINTAINS TOP-FIVE IN POINTS AFTER GRAND PRIX OF MIAMI

After a tough weekend for the team, TRG held their ground to survive both the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 as well as the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge with top-10 finishes, keeping the team in the top-five points positions in both series.

The CRS Racing LMS squad has been out in full force for two days at Paul Ricard, taking part in the official Le Mans Series pre-season test. Andrew Kirkaldy, Tim Mullen and Nicola Larini drove the 2010-spec No.91 CRS Ferrari 430. Pierre Ehret, Phil Quaife and Pierre Kaffer drove the Michelotto test car and will soon get their hands on the No.90 CRS Ferrari, which is being prepared for the new season.
