After the first four rounds in the 2009 Muscle Milk SCCA Trans-Am Series resulting in close, but not close enough – Rocketsports Racing and Tomy Drissi get it done in Portland. However, Drissi’s good fortunes did not mirror those of Daniel Ramoutarsingh, who was fast, but couldn’t make it last.

Aloha's Cindi Lux might be one of the biggest motorsport names to come out of the Northwest but she has certainly not forgotten her roots. The 2008 Sports Car Club of America's (SCCA) Oregon Pro Driver of the Year returns to Portland International Raceway (PIR) for the 49th Annual Rose Cup on June 12-14. The Rose Cup, which Lux's father Dick Hahn won in its inaugural, 1961 running, is the largest amateur/club event west of the Mississippi River and signifies the unofficial first day of summer for local racers. Lux returns to the prestigious event to support her local racing community representing the Viper brand with the No. 12 Lux Performance Group, LLC Viper Competition Coupe.

Rocketsports Racing Drivers Take Charge in Mid-Ohio from Front to Back
Rocketsports Racing’s drivers Tomy Drissi and Daniel Ramoutarsingh really took charge this weekend at Mid-Ohio. Another podium for Drissi puts him in the 2009 Muscle Milk SCCA Trans-Am Series Championship Point Standings lead, while rookie Ramoutarsingh earns his best finish of the season, grabs honors of being the top rookie and sits in the top three overall.

New Format for Lotus Cup Europe Gives new Dimension to Club Racing

The Lotus Cup Europe starts its 2009 season with a new promoter and new format to give a new dimension to club racing. The first round is at Brands Hatch over the weekend of 1st to 3rd of May as a supporting race to the “World Cup of Motorsport” Formula A1GP International program.

Liuzzi wins Bahrain finale, Morbidelli takes $500,000 prize

Vitantonio Liuzzi won the final race of the Speedcar season in Bahrain but the big winner was Gianni Morbidelli, who beat Johnny Herbert by the slenderest of margins to claim the championship and the $500,000 prize that goes with it.

Johnny Herbert scored a dominant win in the penultimate round of the Speedcar Series on Saturday morning in Bahrain. Championship leader Gianni Morbidelli finished only fifth, but with only the Sunday morning event still to come the Italian now heads Herbert by a reduced margin of just 51 points to 50. Heinz-Harald Frentzen finished second, and on 44 points he is also still in contention.

Herbert takes final qualifying session of the season
Speedcar Series
It was an exciting final qualifying session for the season, as Johnny Herbert stormed to the top of the times with only three minutes remaining. Despite a successful outcome, the F1 ace fought hard to get to the top spot with old rival and friend Jean Alesi dominating most of the 45 minute qualifying.

Speedcar Series stage set for final qualifying session this season
Speedcar Series
Speedcar Series' second season will come to an end in Bahrain this weekend on 25-26 April, 2009. Featuring at the F1 Grand Prix at the Sakhir International Circuit, the Series will have 16 drivers from eight teams lining the starting grid for the qualifying session tomorrow.

The fifth and final Speedcar Series race weekend is expected to be the most heated this season with 5 drivers in contention for the 500,000 US dollars and Season 2 Championship title. The fifth round will be run as a support event to the Bahrain F1 Grand Prix on 25-26 April, 2009.

Speedcar Series will feature as a support event to the Bahrain Formula 1 Grand Prix on April 24-26, 2009. This will be the Series' fifth and final round of the season in which five drivers at the top of the Drivers' Championship table are in the running for the Season 2 title and 500,000 US dollars in prize money.
