FORD EXTENDS WRC PARTICIPATION IN NEW TWO-YEAR AGREEMENT WITH M-SPORT

Rocketsports Racing duo Tomy Drissi and Daniel Ramoutarsingh finish second and third, respectively, in Round Six of the 2009 Muscle Milk SCCA Trans-Am Series Sunday at Watkins Glen. After a Series’ announcement that Round Seven of Eight in the 2009 season, scheduled to be run at Bluegrass Motorsports Park, has been canceled, Drissi’s second-place finish was enough for him to clinch the 2009 Drivers’ Championship Title.

After the first four rounds in the 2009 Muscle Milk SCCA Trans-Am Series resulting in close, but not close enough – Rocketsports Racing and Tomy Drissi get it done in Portland. However, Drissi’s good fortunes did not mirror those of Daniel Ramoutarsingh, who was fast, but couldn’t make it last.

Aloha's Cindi Lux might be one of the biggest motorsport names to come out of the Northwest but she has certainly not forgotten her roots. The 2008 Sports Car Club of America's (SCCA) Oregon Pro Driver of the Year returns to Portland International Raceway (PIR) for the 49th Annual Rose Cup on June 12-14. The Rose Cup, which Lux's father Dick Hahn won in its inaugural, 1961 running, is the largest amateur/club event west of the Mississippi River and signifies the unofficial first day of summer for local racers. Lux returns to the prestigious event to support her local racing community representing the Viper brand with the No. 12 Lux Performance Group, LLC Viper Competition Coupe.
