Audi driver Timo Scheider takes DTM lead

With a fifth-place finish at the EuroSpeedway title defender Timo Scheider took the lead in the DTM standings. 75 000 spectators (throughout the weekend) at Lausitz witnessed a turbulent race packed with collisions in which Mattias Ekström, in third place, clinched a podium result for Audi. With Mike Rockenfeller in seventh place, an Audi driver of a year-old car scored points as well.

First pole position for Audi A4 DTM at the EuroSpeedway

- Three Audi A4 DTM cars on two front rows

For the first time ever, an Audi A4 DTM will start from the top grid position at a DTM race at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz. In extremely difficult conditions the Swede Mattias Ekström - like at the Hockenheim season opener - clinched the pole position for Audi. With Mike Rockenfeller and Timo Scheider on positions three and four, two other Audi drivers will start the race on Sunday from the two front rows of the grid.
