Kawasaki Dealer-Assist Rider Gary Sutherlin to Ride For Abbott in Havasu

Kawasaki dealer-assist rider Gary Sutherlin will fill in for the injured Monster Energy Kawasaki rider Destry Abbott during the third round of the WORCS series in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. Abbott dislocated his shoulder last week and will continue his recovery in order to race at the next AMA National Hare and Hound event April 10.

Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Destry Abbott Endures Painful Ride in Idaho

Irvine, Calif. (March 23, 2010)

Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Destry Abbott rode through the pain of a dislocated shoulder to finish sixth during the fourth round of the AMA National Hare and Hound series in Murphy, Idaho. Despite the injury, which occurred the previous Wednesday while practicing, Abbott salvaged points in the championship standings and is only eight points back from first. After a six year hiatus, the series returned to the gem state and provided a great course that saw Kawasaki riders fill out half of the top 10.

Right from the start, the two skilled riders gapped the competition and eventually finished several minutes in front of second place.

Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Destry Abbott Takes Over the H&H Points Lead

Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Destry Abbott continued his podium streak with his second-consecutive runner-up finish during the third round of the AMA Hare and Hound series in a drenched El Centro, Calif. The rain-soaked race made for interesting conditions throughout the 96-mile-course, but Abbott’s Kawasaki KX™450F withstood the constant mud, puddles and slippery terrain. Kawasaki dealer-assist rider Robert Underwood, with Kawasaki of Reno, finished with a career-best fourth-place.

Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Destry Abbott Continues Podium Streak

Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Destry Abbott finished with his second-consecutive podium after an intense battle for the top-five spots throughout the majority of the race at the second round of the AMA National Hare and Hound Series in Ridgecrest, Calif. Although Abbott, who was getting over flu, wasn’t 100 percent physically, he gave extraordinary effort to finish 10 seconds behind the winner for second. Abbott was one of five Kawasaki KX™450F riders who filled out the top-10, including Jacob Argubright, Gary Sutherlin, Ryan Abbatoye, and Justin Morrow.

Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Dietrich and Abbott Heat Up the Trails of Washington

“ Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ricky Dietrich and Destry Abbott stood on the top two steps of the WORCS podium as they went an exciting 1-2 at Saddleline ORV in Olympia, Washington. Dietrich’s fourth win was sweetened as he reclaimed the points lead. The podium in Washington was the first for Abbott since the end of 2006, who concentrates on the AMA National Hare and Hound series. Teammate Damon Huffman finished the day in 13th.
