AMA Racing National Champions and AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Class of 2009 to be honored in Vegas this Dec. 4-5
PICKERINGTON, Ohio -- One of the most amazing weekends in two-wheeled motorsports this year is gearing up for Dec. 4-5 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. On Friday night at the AMA Racing Championship Banquet, the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) will recognize its 2009 amateur racing champions. Then on Saturday evening, motorcycling heroes of the past and present will be honored at the 2009 AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.

Following a save-the-date notice earlier this month that the 2009 AMA Pro Road Racing Awards Banquet would be held in Atlantic City, N.J., AMA Pro Road Racing Officials announced today that the Tropicana Casino and Resort and will be the host venue for the season-ending awards celebration on Labor Day Monday evening, Sept. 7.

BMW Motorrad Motorsport's third race of the year is the fourth round of the Qtel FIM Endurance Championship taking place at the Oschersleben racetrack this Saturday August 9th. Last year, the team enjoyed fantastic results with a fifth and ninth overall and a first and second in their class, but this year the team faces an ever tougher challenge as the race distance has been reduced from twenty-four to eight hours.
