The 2010 Yamaha Monster Energy Motocross Teams have broken cover for the upcoming season with the new YZ450 and 250Fs boasting a radical and fresh design. The ’10 machinery has received a youthful and modern look to completely reflect the innovative technology housed beneath. David Philippaerts and Gautier Paulin have been charged with responsibility of the YZ450 and 250FMs in the FIM Motocross World Championship MX1-GP and MX2-GP classes respectively for the factory Yamaha Monster Energy Motocross Team. Ken De Dycker (MX1-GP), Loic Larrieu and Alessandro Lupino (MX2-GP) will represent the Yamaha Monster Energy Ricci MX squad.

The Monster Energy Kawasaki off-road team is geared up and ready to collect wins and championships during the 2010 season with an all-star line-up that will include championship racers Ricky Dietrich, Destry Abbott, and Justin Soule. The trio is set to compete in the World Off Road Championship Series (WORCS), AMA EnduroCross series, and AMA Hare and Hound series in 2010.

Many amateur motocross racers dream of racing in the Lucas Oil AMA Motocross Championship. One way to make that dream a reality is to hone your skills at AMA Racing Pro/Am events. It's at these venues where up-and-coming racers earn the points, purse money and contingency support to help them climb the competitive ladder.
"Our 2010 AMA Racing Pro/Am schedule features quality race tracks and events that are promoted by some of this country's top organizers," said AMA Director of Racing Joe Bromley. "With around 40 races on the calendar and at least $150,000 in guaranteed purse available to the fastest amateur American motocross racers on the planet, we're confident this schedule provides the challenges to prepare these young racers for the next level."

Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green™ Take 25 Championships at Winter National Olympics in Florida

Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green riders celebrated the holiday weekend with a chart-topping 25 championships and 47 podiums at the 2009 Winter National Olympics in Gainesville, Fla. The riders were faced with both supercross and motocross racing throughout the week, proving their all-around riding ability. Young gun Chase Bell took home five total championships, while veteran riders captured every championship throughout the week in the plus classes.

USA sweeps the Motocross of Nations in Italy

Philippaerts and Guarneri unveil 2010 YZ450F to Europe

European motocross and off-road fans received their first glimpse of the all-new YZ450F this afternoon at a sun-blessed and hot Franciacorta in Italy; scene of the 63rd Motocross of Nations and already a packed event with a huge crowd dwarfing the banks of the new venue for Saturday’s practice and qualification programme. 2008 MX1-GP World Champion and Yamaha Monster Energy factory rider David Philippaerts was joined by Yamaha Monster Energy Ricci MX Team’s Davide Guarneri – his team-mate in the Italian trio, completed by 2009 number one Tony Cairoli – as the pair unveiled the exciting new motorcycle to a large collective of Italian public. The YZ’s inauguration to European eyes marked the first time the bike had been presented on the continent.

Coppins ready for final Yamaha bow

Pourcel and Hahn Sweep Steel City Finale

Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki's Christophe Pourcel did everything in his power to claim the 250 class championship by going 1-1 and earning maximum points, but it wasn't enough as he finished the season second in the standings. In the 450 class Canidae/Motosport/Kawasaki's Tommy Hahn made it a Kawasaki sweep of the overall wins by finishing 1-4 and earning his first career motocross win. Monster Energy Kawasaki's Jake Moss went 10-2 for fourth overall and Timmy Ferry went 12-7 to finish eighth overall. Jake Weimer went 4-8 and finished fifth overall in the 250 class with his teammate Austin Stroupe finishing seventh overall. Ryan Morais made his first start of the season and finished 15th overall. Tyla Rattray was injured during practice and only competed in the first moto.
