Second Win of 2008 for 1125R

The No. 8 Bruce Rossmeyer’s Daytona Racing Buell 1125R ridden by Shawn Higbee and Michael Barnes took its second overall SunTrust MOTO-ST series and Buell Motorcycle Company SuperSport Twins class wins at the Level 5 Heartland Park 500 presented by Hooters at Heartland Park Topeka on Aug 17.

First Pro Thunderbike National Podium for Delk; Sipp Crashes out of Second

Hal’s H-D/Buell/Hal’s Speed Shop rider Dan Bilansky rode a Buell XB12R to second place in the ASRA Pro Thunderbike National at Barber Motorsports Park. Roanoke Harley-Davidson/Buell rider James Delk was third on a Buell XB12R to take his first ASRA Pro National podium position. The race was won by Nate Kern on a BMW.

Buell Teams Score Pair of Podium Finishes in SST and GST classes

The No. 8 Bruce Rossmeyer’s Daytona Racing Buell 1125R earned the pole position and finished on the SuperSport Twins podium at the Suntrust MOTO-ST Barber 500K at Barber Motorsports Park July 19-20 after a late-race pit stop problem cost the team the race lead and a shot at a second-straight overall win.

Sixth place S2 finish for Pignotti in Sardinia

KTM S2 rider Attilio Pignotti came away from two difficult day's riding in the port city of Olbia in Sardinia with a sixth place in S2 to pick up enough championship points to finish fourth in the current standings.

BUELL 1125R WINS ASRA TEAM CHALLENGE RACE AT ROAD AMERICA

Estok Finishes Second in ASRA Pro Thunderbike; Bilansky Sweeps CCS SuperTwins

A near-stock Buell 1125R entered by Richie Morris Racing/Hal’s Speed Shop and ridden by Dan Bilansky and Clint Brotz won the ASRA Team Challenge endurance race, part of the three-day American Sportbike Racing Association (ASRA) Road America Festival of Speed held over Independence Day weekend. Bilansky and Brotz completed 38 laps of the four-mile Road America course to take the overall win and to lead the GTO class. James Gang/Hoban Bothers Racing/Appleton Buell riders Paul James and Jeff Johnson completed 37 laps to take the Team Challenge GTL class win and finish fifth overall on a Buell Firebolt XB12R.

Latus Harley-Davidson/Screamin’ Eagle rider Joe Kopp led every lap and rolled to his first win of the 2008 AMA Grand National Twins season on the Bedford Speedway half-mile. Harley-Davidson Screamin' Eagle factory rider Kenny Coolbeth finished second, 3.381 seconds behind Kopp, and Moroney's Harley-Davidson/Screamin' Eagle rider Bryan Smith was third, as Harley-Davidson Wrecking Crew riders filled to podium. Each rode a Harley-Davidson XR-750 motorcycle.

Harley-Davidson Screamin' Eagle factory rider Kenny Coolbeth remains undefeated on the 2008 AMA Grand National Twins series, as the two-time defending Grand National Twins champion took the win on the Mountain Raceway Park half-mile. It was the 16th career Grand National victory for Coolbeth, who rode a Harley-Davidson XR-750 motorcycle.

Prinz extends her lead with an outstanding performance at Assen

In the second round of the Women’s Road Racing European Championship at the TT circuit of Assen Nina Prinz again showed her class leading abilities on her Yamaha YZF-R1. As with the first round, there was no real competition for the German Yamaha rider. The reigning European champion from Mannheim / Leutkirch was quickest all weekend, and never looked as if she was going to struggle with the competition.

First North American Pro Win for 1125R

The No. 8 Bruce Rossmeyer’s Daytona Racing Buell 1125R ridden by Shawn Higbee and Steve Crevier clinched pole and took the overall and Buell Motorcycle Company SuperSport Twins class wins at the MOTO-ST Road America 500K in Elkhart Lake, Wis. June 7. It was the first major North American professional road racing win for the Buell 1125R.

THE ISLE OF MAN TT RACES - 24th May to 6th June

After the excitement of the Isle of Man TT's Centenary celebrations, all eyes are now on TT2008.


The Centenary attracted some 60,000 fans to the Island, with many more who following the action from home, and everyone was treated to a feast of two-wheeled drama.

Penalty Determines Winner After a Four-Bike Battle at Summit Point

Hal’s H-D/Buell/Hal’s Speed Shop rider Dan Bilansky was declared the winner of the third round of the 2008 American Sportbike Racing Association (ASRA) Pro Thunderbike National series at Summit Point Motorsports Park after the apparent winner was penalized for blocking. Bilansky, riding a Buell XB12R Firebolt, crossed the finish line behind BMW rider Nate Kern, but Kern was penalized two positions for weaving three times to block Bilansky’s attempts to pass as the pair raced out of the final turn. The penalty moved Deeley H-D/Buell Canada/Ruthless Racing rider David Estok to second place, as Kern dropped to third.
