A little more orange oil means a lot less petroleum, according to Yokohama Tire Corporation, which introduced its upgraded environmentally-sensitive ADVAN® ENV-R2™ racing tire at a press conference today in Sebring, Florida. Yokohama’s orange oil-infused racing slicks, which will campaign in two major sports car race series in 2010, utilizes sustainable resources such as orange oil and natural rubber to help cut petroleum use during manufacturing.

Toyo® Proxes® R1R™ Wins at Round 1 of SCCA® Solo National Tour

CECIL, GEORGIA, March 17, 2010

Past Solo National Champion and Team Toyo® driver, Tim Smith from Atlanta, Georgia; began the 2010 autocross season by winning the Street Touring (ST) class during the Dixie National Tour at the South Georgia Motorsports Park in Cecil, Georgia. Piloting his 1989 Honda Civic Si equipped with Toyo Proxes R1R extreme performance tires, Smith defeated the large 14 car field during the two-day combined event.

H&R new Technical Partner of BMW Motorsport.

H&R is the new Technical Partner of BMW Motorsport. The specialist for suspension components will be involved as the BMW M3 GT2 takes to the track for this year’s 24-hour races. The company has supported BMW driver Uwe Alzen (DE) for several years. This partnership has how been extended for the 2010 GT season. As a result, the H&R logo will not only be seen on the cars, helmets, trucks and driver overalls, but also exclusively on Alzen’s cap.
