RICK CRAWFORD AND BRENDAN GAUGHAN TALK ABOUT RACING AT KANSAS SPEEDAY
BRENDAN GAUGHAN – No. 10 International MAXX Force Diesel Ford F-150
TALK ABOUT YOUR SEASON TO DATE.
“The season has been a lot of fun so far. For me, it’s been a lot less pressure and a lot less stress. [I’m] not running my own race team and letting Rick handle those things. It’s kind of fun watching somebody else have to do the things that I used to have to do and I’m just driving for him. So, it’s been enjoyable.

RICK CRAWFORD EARNS FIRST TOP FIVE FINISH OF THE SEASON AT DAYTONA
RICK CRAWFORD – No. 14 Power Stroke Diesel by International Ford F-150 – (finished 5th, qualified 19th)
“That Ford Power Stroke Diesel by International Ford F-150 was always performing and fun to drive. We got a little bit of damage over there. I was trying to push Hornaday through the wreck over there in turns three and four. We missed the other one. It looks like a missile went through our spoiler and our nose is sort of crippled. But Fancy [the truck’s name] didn’t let me down tonight. She took care of me and I took care of her. I followed my old teammate [David Starr] to a top-five finish, but I sure wish there was more Fords up here because we could of got together and those guys were flying. My hat is off to Roush Yates engines. I was really strong getting through the tri-oval and into turn three. I thought we had a shot to win.”

ERIK DARNELL WINS POLE FOR NASCAR CRAFTSMAN TRUCK SERIES RACE AT DAYTONA
ERIK DARNELL – No. 99 Northern Tool + Equipment Ford F-150 – (qualified 1st)
“I knew after practice that our Northern Tool + Equipment Ford was going to be pretty good. It was good in the draft, it was good by itself and I thought we’d have a shot at the pole and hopefully that lap time will be able to stay up there. Anywhere in the top five would be a good start for Friday night because I know we have a good truck for the race. All the credit goes back to the guys at the shop. Qualifying here in Daytona has nothing to do with the driver and everything to do with the truck. If it wasn’t for the guys back at the shop putting the truck together, we wouldn’t be able to do what we’ve done tonight.”

CRAWFORD LEADS FORD RACING DRIVERS WITH 12TH PLACE FINISH AT PHOENIX INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY
RICK CRAWFORD – No. 14 Power Stroke Diesel by International Ford F-150 (finished 12th, qualified 20th)
“It was an eventful night and it made for some real bold moves by the Ford F-Series pick-up. The Ford Power Stroke Diesel by International ran as high as seventh or eighth from starting 20th. This is a hard track to pass on especially with all the cautions that we had. The Circle Bar Racing truck didn’t want to go on the restarts, it needed three or four laps to get going and we didn’t have it there at the end. Two or three jumped us and then we passed Brendan Gaughan on the outside of the last corner. The longer run we had, the better we were and the short runs were hurting us.”

RICK CRAWFORD SCORES 10TH TOP-10 FINISH OF 2007 AT TEXAS
RICK CRAWFORD – No. 14 Power Stroke Diesel by International Ford F-150 (finished 5th, qualified 7th)
AFTER THE RED FLAG, YOU WERE IN FIFTH, WHAT HAPPENED IN FRONT OF YOU?
“I saw two trucks wrecking in front of me. I went as low as I could. I was trying to get fourth from Brendan [Gaughan] and we had a truck that I told them on the radio that I need two trucks per lap. This Power Stroke Diesel by International Ford F-Series pick-up was going to win this thing for [team owner] Tom Mitchell. I hate to say it, but it looks like I’ve been racing a bunch of alligators because the right side of my truck is gone. But she’s built Ford tough and she spun around, made some bold moves tonight. We grabbed another gear and finished in the top five, so we’ll see how we end up.”
