Inaugural WSORR Season a Ratings Success on SPEED TV
CRANDON, Wisc., May 8, 2008
As the World Series of Off-Road Racing® television season draws to a close, network executives, sponsors and Series officials are calling WSORR’s Tour 2007 a “hit” on SPEED. Just released ratings numbers indicate the WSORR programs from last season were the top-rated off-road short course race shows on SPEED based on total viewership of all programs.

Ruppel Readies for Run at Championship

Eric Ruppel, driving his #837 PHILSINC.COM Art Carr Transmission BFGoodrich Tires Fords F-150, has his sights set on the 2008 World Series of Off-Road Racing Stock Truck Championship. In 2007, Ruppel won three races and finished the overall season in third place.

Oberg Searches for Set-Up at Pomona

Mike Oberg and crew came to Pomona loaded with a brand new Keith Stamper chassis under the AMSOIL Kumho Tire fiberglass. The 2006 Baldwin Cup Champion knew that the competition in PRO-2 would be deep and talented, so crew chief Pete Hansen went to work building a brand new race truck.

WSORR RACING FEATURED “UNDER THE LIGHTS” DURING 2008 EVENTS
CRANDON, Wisc., May 1, 2008
For the first time in the history of short-course off-road racing, two rounds of a major Series will feature evening action as the World Series of Off-Road Racing® has announced two of its events will take place under the lights. The WSORR season kicks-off on May 31 at the Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo., and Round I racing will take place on Saturday night with the “E3 Spark Plugs Show-Me State Showdown”.

Keith Steele Looks Forward to a Monster Year in the World Series

In 2008, Keith Steele looks to improve upon his rookie season in the Super Truck division, of the World Series of Off-Road Racing. The two-time Stock Truck champion, made the move to the big trucks last year, and found the podium his first time out. In fact, the Monster Energy Goodyear Tire Chevrolet Super Truck made it onto the podium six times, including three wins, in 2007.

Douglas Motorsports Podiums Pomona Twice in CORR Opener

The crew at Douglas Motorsports was really looking forward to finally compete against other PRO-4 trucks. The team had built a brand new Bill Smith designed and fabricated chassis for the 2008 season. Scott and Bill were confident that the team would have a strong start to the CORR race season.

Scott Taylor Seeks Seventh CORR PRO-2 Title

American Mike Petersen Move Back Up Standings with Stage 4 of Central Europe Rally
Petersen Motorsports Finishes Longest Stage 39th, Gains One Position in Overall

Michael Petersen (Las Vegas, Nev., USA) began his march back up through the running order of the inaugural Central Europe Rally today. Stage Four returned the No. 217 Petersen Motorsports/MMPIE/PAWS/Petersen Holdings/BF Goodrich Chevrolet to the site of the first stage where Petersen and co-driver Matthew Stevenson (Ipswich, England) finished 14th in the car class.
