Prumm injures knee before first WMX-GP

The fourth round of the FIM Motocross World Championship will take place at one of the best circuits on the calendar this weekend as the visit to Sevlievo not only kicks the series back into life after a two week break but also initiates the first meeting of five in the first ever Women’s World Championship. Van Beers Yamaha’s Katherine Prumm, a double Women’s World Cup winner, is struggling for full fitness after rupturing her right ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) while practicing this week.

Mopar and Cindi Lux Announce 2008 World Challenge Program

Female Racer to Pilot Mopar Dodge Viper Comp. Coupe Starting at GP of Long Beach

LONG BEACH, Calif., April 15, 2008

Cindi Lux and Mopar announced the addition of the veteran female road racer to Team Mopar for the 2008 race season. Lux, the 1999 American Le Mans Series Women's Global GT Series Champion, will represent the parts division of Chrysler in the highly competitive, road car-based Sports Car Club of America's (SCCA) World Challenge GT Series. NayKid Racing will enter the Lux Performance Group, LLC prepared and managed No. 2 Mopar Dodge Viper Competition Coupe starting at the April 20 Grand Prix of Long Beach (Calif.). The Long Beach event marks the first race of the 2008 SPEED World Challenge season for the Aloha, Oregon resident.

Nina Prinz takes impressive win at Misano on YZF-R1

Misano, Italy 14/04/2008

During the first round of the European Championship Road Racing Women’s 1000cc held at Misano Adriatico (Italy) last weekend, Nina Prinz (Team Yamaha Motor Germany) debuted on the R1 and took it to an impressive victory. The reigning European champion, from Mannheim/Leutkirch in Germany, had been consistently fast during all qualifying sessions and dominated throughout the weekend, even during qualifying where she competed against many men from the open class.

Young women who test their mettle each week on race tracks may be able to enhance their competitive performance through an innovative new scholarship program exclusively for race car drivers. Project Podium, founded by entrepreneur and former Indy 500 driver Lyn St. James, is the newest program of Women in the Winners Circle Foundation, a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, and is designed to empower active young female race car drivers to help further their early professional careers.

A full "field" of 23 female racing drivers, ages 12 to 26, completed Phase 2 of the 14th annual Women in the Winner’s Circle Foundation Driver Development Program, held at the National Institute of Fitness and Sport in Indianapolis on March 1-2.

Prumm leads decent weekend of results for Yamaha

Double FIM Women’s World Cup winner Katherine Prumm took her new YZ250F to first position in the opening round of the Australian Women’s championship at Tivioli in Brisbane and the 19 year old’s success was just one of several eye-catching results for the ‘Blue Army’ last weekend as Antonio Cairoli earned his MX1 spurs in Italy, and Kenneth Gundersen enjoyed a maiden MX1 bow for his new team in Great Britain.

Prumm anticipates exciting 2008 campaign

2008 will be a big season in the short but spectacular career of double Women’s World Cup winner Katherine Prumm. The new Yamaha recruit is busy getting to grips with her new YZ250F in her native New Zealand and will shortly travel over to Europe to begin tests with the Van Beers team in preparation for the first ever FIM Women’s World championship, beginning at the MX1/MX2-GP Bulgarian Grand Prix on May 11th.

World’s fastest female motocrosser joins Yamaha for 2008

Yamaha Motor Europe (YME) is very pleased to announce a new partnership with current FIM Motocross Women’s World Cup winner Katherine Prumm. The 19 year old New Zealander will steer a YZ250F for 2008 and strive to add the very first FIM female world championship to the two World cup titles she claimed in 2006 and 2007.

Harley-Davidson’s “Get Down to Daytona” Contest Rules Change Now Open to All Female Harley-Davidson and Buell Motorcycle Owners

MILWAUKEE (October 22, 2007)

Harley-Davidson announced today updated rules for the “Get Down to Daytona” contest which allows all female Harley-Davidson and Buell motorcycle owners to enter, regardless of when they received their license. The previous rules stated that applicants must have received their license after November 15, 2005, to be eligible. To enter the contest, women need to submit a video for a chance to win an expense paid road trip from Atlanta to Daytona Bike Week with Karen Davidson, great-granddaughter of William A. Davidson, one of the Company’s founders.

Women in the Winner's Circle Opportunity Award Winner Makes History in Florida

INDIANAPOLIS (Aug. 31, 2007)

On Saturday night, Aug. 25, 18-year-old Brittany Frosh of Melbourne, Fla., made history when she became the first female driver to win a Florida Mini Sprint Series feature race. She accomplished this feat at North Florida Speedway in Lake City, Fla., driving for CORE Lending Group team owner Harold Matthews.
