Every lap down the track behind the wheel of her '63 Corvette Pro Mod gives R2B2 Racing driver Melanie Troxel more confidence. She qualified No. 7 in the Get Screened America Pro Mod Challenge presented by ProCare Rx at the NHRA U.S. Nationals and was eliminated first round. Her teammate, Roger Burgess, went on to win the event, his second win of the season and the third for the team.

Melanie Troxel drove her R2B2 Racing "VooDoo" '63 Corvette Pro Mod into the No. 7 spot after two days of qualifying in the Get Screened America Pro Mod Challenge presented by ProCare Rx at the Mac Tools NHRA U.S. Nationals. Her teammates Roger Burgess and Raymond Commisso struggled with mechanical problems in the lone qualifying session of the day, leaving Burgess in the No. 3 spot and Commisso at No. 18 and not qualified heading into Sunday and the last chance to make the field at the "Big Go."

Melanie Troxel, driver of the R2B2 Racing "Voodoo" '63 Corvette Pro Mod, scored a personal-best lap en route to a semifinal finish in the IHRA Northern Nationals presented by Dart Machinery at U.S. 131 Motorsports Park in Martin, Mich. Just Troxel's third start behind the wheel of a Pro Mod, the Avon, Ind. resident had struggled along with crew chief Al Billes to find the setup on her car, but once the team found the sweet spot, her numbers took off.
