Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Creamer Puts the KFX450R on the Podium at Glen Helen Raceway

Monster Energy Kawasaki Irvine, Calif. (March 10, 2008) “ Monster Energy Kawasaki ATV rider Josh Creamer started out the 2008 season with a podium finish during the AMA Pro ATV Championship Series season opener at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, Calif. He battled in both motos on his Kawasaki KFX450R to end the day with a 3-3 finish and third overall.

Monster Energy Kawasaki Under the Tent Starting Off on the Right Foot Creamer made a great impact at the races on Sunday when he came across the finish with third-place overall. The track was pretty rough but I didn’t mind it too much because it challenged us to find the good lines and really use the best parts of the track, said Creamer. I am really happy to put my Kawasaki on the box. We worked really hard in the off-season and its great to see it pay off. Injury, What Injury? During the off-season, Creamer slightly injured his left knee while testing. He has been working really hard to keep it strong and at the race on Sunday, showed no signs of pain. Josh has shown really great speed over the off-season, said Team Green Manager Reid Nordin. We are really encouraged by his speed and fitness especially considering his injury in the off-season. A Full House Kawasaki debuted a fresh new team at Glen Helen Raceway as the Monster Energy Kawasaki ATV team expanded over the off-season. Newcomers Keith Little and Russell Shumaker have joined Kawasaki’s returning rider Josh Creamer to make an impact on ATV’s top racing series around the country. A Little Tumble During the first moto, Shumaker got tangled with another rider, causing his quad to tumble down one of the giant hills of Glen Helen Raceway. The crew worked quickly to get the quad ready for the second moto only a few hours later. In the second moto, Shumaker rode consistent to finish the race in ninth. The first moto I didn’t get the greatest start but I started to pass some people, said Shumaker. The last lap of the moto, I went for a pass but the guy didn’t let off and I got hit. That sent my quad down the hill. I pretty much totaled the quad so we were non-stop between the motos. We finished pretty strong with all that had happened. First Race with the Green Family For Shumaker, this was his first race with the Kawasaki family. Even with limited time on the bike due to a broken collar bone earlier in the off-season, Shumaker has shown great speed. Overall my first race went really well, said Shumaker. The team was really positive and motivating. They kept me in a good mood all weekend. It really pushed me to do my best. A Shortened Race The first race didn’t go as planned for the third Kawasaki team member but in typical Little fashion, he still walked away with a positive attitude. The next race is in his home state of Alabama and is determined to take advantage of the familiar territory. The next race for the Monster Energy Kawasaki ATV team will be the second round of the AMA Pro ATV Championship Series at Mill Creek Raceway in Pell City, Ala.
