NTT INDYCAR SERIES' Scott Dixon At Firestone Grand Prix Of St Petersburg 2020 Finale

At Saint Petersburg, Florida, here in a rare (why?) late October 2020 season-ending NTT INDYCAR SERIES race, a race that was thrown about every kind of challenge to overcome, from extreme build-up of rubber trackside marbles, to rain drops on the front straight, off track slides and sidepod rubs, witnessed a driver that did everything he had to do to win the race from P8 in order to best the season points leader who started at P11. It was not to be. Team Penske's Josef Newgarden took a 32 point deficit into this Finale but by winning and having Scott Dixon finish on the podium next to him at P3, he was still 16 points behind to finish at position two for the season. What he needed was to have some of these challenges, or a team miscue, force Dixon to finish P10 or worse.
