Shovels full of fill & aggregate base material officially begin the transformation of the floor of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum to a quarter mile paved short track that will pay host to Next Gen NASCAR stock cars boasting 670 HP. As construction begins on the quarter-mile, asphalt track for the Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum, NASCAR and Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum executives, racing event staff from Auto Club Speedway, and FOX Sports personality/2-time Daytona 500 Winner Michael Waltrip conducted a groundbreaking ceremony and were available for one-on-one interviews.
