2007 Heartland Season Fast Approaching

Both Heartland series kick off their seasons in June, with Heartland Pavement at Mid State Raceway, June 1-3 and Heartland Dirt at Thunder Valley Speedway, June 29-July 1.

Let’s first mention the success of the 2006 Heartland Series Banquet held in Kansas City February 10. Over 300 people were in attendance to help us recognize the top ten in each class in both Heartland series, including 38 champions. Brett Moffitt and Casey Skyberg were inducted into the elite Triple Crown Club for winning 3 or more classes. Nearly $100,000 in merchandise was awarded to drivers in both series. Congratulations to everyone! The complete 2006 standings can be found by clicking here. The Bully Clutches Heartland Dirt Series will be visiting 3 new venues in 2007, with the first two races being held in Iowa – the opener at Thunder Valley Speedway in Massena and heading to 38 Speedway in Hopkinton for race 2. For Race 3, drivers will be heading to I-90 Speedway in Minnesota for the series finale. Click here for the 2007 Bully Clutches Heartland Dirt Series schedule. The Winnings Karts n Parts Heartland Pavement Series will again run a 3-race schedule, beginning with Mid State Raceway in June. Race 2 will take drivers to Shawano, Wisconsin to the USA International Raceway. As has been, Jamaica Raceway will hold the Grand National event for the Heartland Pavement series competitors, ending the season at one of the best paved ovals in the country. It is here drivers will be awarded bonus points and winners will receive the famed Grand National Eagle and Jacket, not to mention 2007 National Champions will be decided. The 2007 schedule can be found by clicking here. Something being incorporated into the 2007 Heartland program are new tire rules not permitting prep that have been enforced and accepted by all other WKA national series in 2006. WKA looks forward to providing the Heartland customers a greater racing experience and a more even playing field at each and every national event. Updated tire rules are forthcoming. Race and class sponsorships are still available. If you’re looking for exposure, pit passes, pit spots, and much more, this is a great opportunity for you. Contact Amanda at 704.455.1606, x14. We look forward to seeing everyone at the races!
