Comp Cams Grand Nationals Crowns

5 Double Grand National Champions The Briggs & Stratton National Dirt Series made its third stop of the season at Low Country Kartway June 8 - 10, with five drivers taking home two Grand National Eagles each.

For Mitch Hendrix it was a profitable weekend, not only winning Al’s Kart Supply Briggs Medium but also taking home the $1000 check for winning the Briggs & Stratton Pro Class. JR Tippens won both Trick/Olimpic Karts Briggs Lite and Phantom Racing Chassis Briggs Raptor 330. Matt Walker took home two Eagles for finishing on top in Maxxis Tires Briggs Heavy and ARC Racing Briggs Raptor 370. For Jeff Buice the weekend was quite successful as well finishing on top in both TSRacing.com Briggs Jr Champ Lite and Tommy’s Karts & Parts Briggs Jr Champ Heavy. Chris Beazley was the winner of Power Products/Super Seat Briggs Limited Medium and Bordeaux Dyno Cams Briggs Limited Heavy. Jake Perkins remained undefeated for the season in PEC/Jr’s Trim Shop Briggs Jr Sportsman 1 Lite. Phantom, Prowler, and Ultramax have been offering contingencies to those winning on their chassis, awarding a $100 certificate to use towards product. PEC meanwhile, has also been offering a contingency, awarding a $100 certificate to those winning on their engines. Winners from this past weekend include: Jake Perkins, Houston Smith, LJ Anderson, Eric Lee Riggins Jr, Ryan Montgomery, Alexis Beagle, Wilson Keene, Richard Parks, Justin McDonald, Dale Haithcock, JR Tippens, Matt Walker, TJ Newton, JR Tippens, and Matt Walker. For additional information on these contingencies, contact any one of the companies named above. Racing for the weekend was near picture perfect. Sunday’s event was shortened by rain as the final six classes were decided on time trials. Track staff led by Shorty Barnhill did all they could in 100-degree temperatures to keep the track in shape; however, when the final rain shower hit late Sunday afternoon it was too wet to continue. Congratulations go out to all the Grand National winners. The next event on the Briggs & Stratton National Dirt Series will be August 10-12 at Beechnut Raceway in Blountville, Tennessee for the Tomar Nationals. Click here for event and entry information.
