After weeks of hard work and many discussions, the VIR Road Race National is back on for 2007.
After an earlier announcement that the original May date was cancelled, VIR took a genuine interest in finding a new date. “We are very pleased to welcome the WKA and WKC back to VIR,†said VIR General Manager Josh Lief. “Karting has played an important role in VIR’s history, and we are happy to be able to host the future stars of tomorrow as they begin their climb up the ladder of success. We’re looking forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with the WKA and WKC, and a lot of great racing.†The Woodbridge Kart Club worked hand in hand with VIR to find another solution. The new date is May 4 - 6, 2007. “Scheduling is difficult in any series. It becomes even more challenging when we are dealing with high profile venues such as VIR. The VIR facility is very popular and their dates are very hard to come by. The efforts put forth by Josh Lief and his staff were very appreciated by both the WKA and the Woodbridge Kart Club,†said WKA President Randy Kugler. Further details on the race schedule and entry forms will be forthcoming.
