DSR TO HOST SECOND ANNUAL RILEY HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN CHARITY BOWLING TOURNAMENT ON MAY 25

News From Don Schumacher Racing and Riley Hospital for Children BROWNSBURG, Ind. (May 4, 2010) Don Schumacher Racing and the local Indianapolis-area NAPA distribution center will host the second annual NAPA Bowling for Riley charity event on May 25, 2010, at Brownsburg Bowl. Last year, the inaugural charity bowling tournament raised more than $9,000 for Indianapolis’ Riley Hospital for Children and Riley Children’s Foundation.

DSR drivers Tony Schumacher, Antron Brown, Cory McClenathan, Jack Beckman and Craig Treble will be joined by NHRA stars Larry Dixon, Morgan Lucas, Shawn Langdon, Melanie Troxel, Andrew Hines, Eddie Krawiec, Mike Neff, Tommy Johnson, Jr., and ESPN personality Paul Page. “We look for the 2010 bowling event to be even more exciting than last year’s event and it was a great event for our first year,” said Bob Wildt, sales manager for the NAPA Indianapolis Distribution Center. “It’s great to see so many marquee NHRA drivers line up to support this great cause for the kids at Riley (Hospital for Children), along with so many great NHRA sponsors and the loyal fans. We know it’s going to be a great time on May 25.” Registration is currently available for the 28 four-person bowling teams. Single bowlers also may register to bowl. Drivers will rotate lanes so every bowler can spend time with a different driver for each of the three games. There will be a silent auction and various door prizes given away during the evening. Non-bowlers are welcome to watch and participate in the silent auction and various drawings. All proceeds benefit Riley Hospital and Riley Children’s Foundation. DSR has raised more than $80,000 for Riley Hospital with its annual U.S. Nationals Open House and charity bowling event over the past four years. “We had an awesome time bowling last year for the Riley kids and I can’t wait to do it again,” 24-time NHRA winner Antron Brown said. “It’s great to see our NHRA community rally together to support such a great cause and it’s a blast to get to bowl and interact with our fans.” “Our friends at Don Schumacher Racing understand the vital role Riley Hospital plays in securing a healthy future for children,” said Greg Williamson, assistant vice president at Riley Children’s Foundation. “We are grateful for the continuous support and generosity of Don Schumacher Racing, and are overwhelmed with the time and energy they devote towards helping children.” Four-person bowling teams can be purchased for $200 and individuals can bowl for $50. Non-bowlers can enter the event for $10 or purchase access to the VIP Room for $25. Children 12-and-under are free with a paying adult. The event begins at 6 p.m. on May 25.
