Race Fans Invited to FREE Event on Thursday at Macy’s in San Francisco

Banners, billboards, displays — featuring the series and IZOD’s Indianapolis 500-inspired line of clothing — herald the Indy® Grand Prix of Sonoma this weekend, Aug. 20-22, at Infineon Raceway. Fans are invited to a special autograph session in the first-floor men’s store of Macy’s from 6-7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 19, featuring stars of Indy car racing past and present including: · Mario Andretti · Johnny Rutherford · Al Unser Jr. · Arie Luyendyk · Gil de Ferran · Helio Castroneves · Will Power · Dan Wheldon · Marco Andretti · Danica Patrick The first 100 customers to make an IZOD purchase receive a complimentary IZOD Indy cap, and the first 20 customers who spend $50 or more on IZOD Indy apparel will receive two free tickets to the Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma on Sunday, Aug. 22. Also making a special appearance on the Geary Street entrance into Macy’s will be the 1911 Marmon Wasp (the car that won the inaugural Indianapolis 500), the 1928 Miller “Front Drive Special,” the 1938 Maserati 8CTF “Boyle Valve Special,” the 1950 Jurtis “Cummins Diesel Special,” the 1961 Watson “Bowes Seal Fast Special,” and the 1972 McLaren “Sunoco Special.” Race fans are encouraged to show-up early and greet Mario Andretti and Power; both will arrive at the Geary Street entrance to Macy’s via motorized Cable Car at approximately 5:20 p.m. after a tour of the City with media members and other dignitaries.
